At Belveo, we strive to offer you outdoor products, especially parasols, that are built to last . We are committed to selling you quality products that will stand the test of time and prevent additional waste each year.

A fair price

If you've already visited our website or are a customer, you've probably noticed that our parasols are more expensive than most standard parasols on the market. There are several reasons for this:

First , you should know that we charge for delivery . Why, you might ask? Well, because parasols and pergolas are large products. Therefore, delivery has a certain cost. To keep costs down, we need to include shipping in the product price.

Furthermore , the price of our parasols is high because you are paying for quality products. Belveo parasols are not the kind of parasols you'll throw away after a season or two. The structure, with its integrated Belveo patent, allows the parasols to withstand the wind, making them much less prone to breakage than a conventional parasol. In addition, you can replace the canopy of your parasol even if it's slightly worn. It's therefore very easy to give your Belveo parasol a second life, and this is much more cost-effective than buying a whole new parasol each time.

We believe it's more important to focus on the value in use than the purchase price. It's more advantageous for you to invest in a Belveo parasol that will last for many years than in a standard parasol that you'll only be able to use for a few seasons before it breaks down. To give you an example, let's compare a standard parasol costing €100 that breaks after two years to a Belveo parasol costing €300 that might last you 10 years. The monthly cost of use for the standard parasol would be €100/24 = €4.16/month, while that of the Belveo parasol would be €300/120 = €2.50/month. Therefore, you need to think long-term, not just look at the immediate purchase price, and realize that even though our parasols are more expensive, they will be more cost-effective in the long run than a standard parasol.

Finally, a question you might have if you're familiar with our brand: why don't we ever offer promotions ? The answer is quite simple. We already offer fair prices year-round, taking into account production, product storage, delivery, wages, and so on. Therefore, we can't reduce prices further because we don't make an exorbitant profit margin. Furthermore, we don't participate in events like Black Friday for ethical reasons . We believe these kinds of events encourage overconsumption because, of course, the offers are often very attractive. This goes against our values, which are to encourage people to consume less but better.

Service takes center stage

What we love about Belveo is being close to our community . You're the best people to talk about our products, so we're committed to ensuring every customer is satisfied. That's why we pride ourselves on being responsive , replying to each of your requests in less than 24 hours .

We want to create a close connection with our community. That's why we call you by your first names. We don't want to put unnecessary barriers between us.

Our goal is truly to ensure that each of you receives prompt and effective advice and assistance. We believe that in the event of a delivery issue or product defect, striving to resolve the problem quickly demonstrates our commitment to our customers and our responsiveness to helping you.

Our areas for improvement

Belveo has chosen to manufacture products that last a long time in order to reduce the amount of annual furniture waste, however we know that some points still need improvement, particularly with regard to production.

Firstly, our parasols are not made from recyclable materials . Therefore, they cannot be recycled if they are broken or no longer in use.

Furthermore, our products are manufactured in China, which results in a significant carbon footprint because the goods must be shipped back to Europe by air or sea. This is an area where Belveo would very much like to improve by bringing production closer to points of sale.

Regarding our carbon footprint, we deliver our parasols by truck . These are fairly large products, so we haven't found any other alternatives yet.

We prefer to first take the initiative to create products that will have a long lifespan to reduce waste, and then secondly try to improve our materials, our means of production, deliveries, etc.
