Floor slabs

• Suitable for all types of soil
• Easy to install
• Economical
• Easy to maintain
• It's more difficult to move your parasol
• Must be installed flat

Compatibility : Leste base plates are compatible with all our straight parasols. Ostro base plates are compatible with all our cantilever parasols. For larger parasols, it is recommended to weigh down the base plates with sand to reach 120kg. You will also need a Fogony cross base for straight parasols, except for the 3x3m size.

• Saves floor space, can be hidden
• Ground anchoring for maximum stability
• Allows you to easily remove and replace the parasol without tools.
• A safe solution with proper installation
• Not suitable for terraces on pedestals
• Not suitable for non-perforable surfaces.
• More complex installation

Compatibility : The Plug and Play base is compatible with straight and cantilever parasols. If you have a straight parasol (other than 3x3m), you will need a pole base tube .

Secure

If you have slabs that are not joined together or do not cover the parasol crossbars, add heavy elements at the crossbars to secure the installation.

Extend

To prolong the lifespan of the slabs, use sand instead of water in areas prone to frost. Store the slabs in a sheltered location at the end of the season.

Fix

You can fix the cross base of your parasol to the ground if you don't want to use paving slabs. All our cross bases have holes at the ends.

Hide

To hide the cross base, consider integrating it under a removable terrace. Alternatively, you can opt for decorative covers or caps that match your outdoor furniture.

Your questions

What are the differences between the various types of wheeled feet?

We offer two wheeled tripod models on our website: the Kona and the Grecale . Both tripods have four 360° rotating casters. On the Kona, the casters are retractable and can be hidden under the casing. The Grecale tripod, however, is more stylish and also takes up slightly less floor space. Furthermore, the latter can only be weighted with sand, whereas the Kona can be weighted with water. Finally, the main difference lies in the materials: the Kona is made of plastic, while the Grecale is made of metal.

What type of ballast do I need?

All parasols come with a cross base, except for two models: the 2.75m diameter straight parasol and the 3x2m straight parasol. You will therefore need to purchase a cross base if you wish to weigh down your parasol with paving slabs. Weighting is not included with our parasols, but it is essential for their stability. We offer several solutions to suit your needs:

Fillable base plates : Our 50x50cm base plates are designed to be filled with water or sand, the latter providing greater weight for improved stability. For example, for a straight parasol, we recommend a total weight of 80kg (4 base plates of at least 20kg each). For an offset parasol, allow for 100kg of weight (4 base plates of at least 25kg each), or 120kg for a 3x4m model, using sand. Note that wet sand cannot be removed from the base plates. Allow for a weighted area of approximately 1m².

Fixed bases : For straight and cantilever parasols, we offer fixed or cemented bases to save ground space. This is the stylish solution for weighting down your parasol while avoiding paving slabs.

Wheeled bases : If you're looking for a mobile solution, our wheeled bases for straight and cantilever parasols are perfect. Weighted with water and/or sand, they guarantee optimal stability while making it easy to move your parasol. For safe and long-lasting use, always follow our weighting recommendations, depending on the model and the layout of your space. Our recommendations are indicated on the technical specifications of our parasols. Feel free to contact us for personalized advice.
