OUR PARASOL STRUCTURES

Les structures des parasols Belveo sont toutes peintes avec une peinture protectrice pour leur assurer la plus grande longévité possible. Nous proposons 3 finitions de structure.

OUR PARASOL CANOPIES

Chez Belveo, la différence est dans la toile. C’est elle qui détermine la tenue des couleurs, la résistance aux intempéries et l’allure du parasol saison après saison. Chaque matière répond à un niveau d’exigence différent.

The materials of our furniture

Robinia wood

ROBUSTNESS

Black locust is naturally resistant to fresh water, weathering, and insects, without requiring chemical treatment. This classification is rare for a European wood and positions it as an ecological alternative to exotic species such as teak or ipe. Its wood has a density of approximately 750 kg/m³, making it a hardwood capable of withstanding impacts and deformation. It has excellent bending strength without being brittle, ensuring robustness and longevity. FSC-PEFC certified traceability: the black locust comes from sustainably managed Slovenian forests.

EASY MAINTENANCE

Our wood is treated only with a natural oil that nourishes the material. This non-skinning oil therefore won't crack, unlike the varnishes commonly applied to outdoor furniture. Unlike acacia, black locust requires no special treatment for outdoor use and offers superior durability . Often called "the teak of Europe," it combines technical performance, durability, and environmental responsibility.

Aluminium

STRENGTH AND LIGHTNESS

We use Series 5 aluminum , renowned for its robustness and exceptional corrosion resistance. This alloy is ideal for extended outdoor use , even in humid or saline environments. The 4mm sheets offer a perfect balance between lightness and mechanical strength. To make the aluminum even harder and more resistant, it is rolled (flattened to increase its density) before being laser-cut and bent. Compared to steel, aluminum has the advantage of being lighter, making it easier to handle and transport.

SUSTAINABILITY

Advanced powder coating: The textured matte finish offers a durable, scratch-resistant, and easy-to-clean aesthetic. It is baked at high temperature to harden it at the end of the painting process. Even a deep scratch will not expose the aluminum to rust, ensuring exceptional durability.

An innovative foam

DESIGNED FOR OUTDOORS

Our cushions are made from special outdoor foams. Unlike conventional foams, they don't retain water like a sponge but allow it to pass through : these are called "open-cell foams." Our foam acts like a mesh, letting water through without trapping it.

LONG-TERM COMFORT

Our foams are also “HR” for “high resilience”: they compress less over the years than conventional foams, allowing you to enjoy a product with the same comfort as on day one throughout its lifespan. They utilize a multi-layered technology. The first layer, soft and enveloping, offers a plush feel inspired by memory foam mattresses. The second layer, denser and firmer, provides optimal support and ergonomic comfort , adapted to all body types, even the most robust. The result: a cocoon-like, enveloping cushion that ensures good posture support, making extended periods of sitting very pleasant.

High-density olefin

A COLOR THAT CAN WITHSTAND ANYTHING

300g/m² olefin fabric, containing 50% recycled fibers. This textile is known for its resistance to UV rays, moisture, and chemicals . It comes with a 5-year colorfastness guarantee, even with prolonged sun exposure. Machine washable and bleach-safe for effortless care, even on the toughest stains.

A WATER-REPELLENT FABRIC

The fabric is water-repellent thanks to a treatment that prevents water from penetrating the fibers , while allowing for instant drying after a downpour. Free of PFAS (perennial pollutants) and mold-resistant: the water-repellent treatment isolates the fibers from the elements, rendering them inert and impervious to mold, for example.
