INSTALL YOUR PARASOL

Before starting your installation, be sure to clean and prepare your assembly area by protecting the ground (with cardboard, for example) before placing the parts of your parasol. Pay particular attention to the aluminum parts, which could be scratched. When opening the boxes, avoid using a box cutter or any blade that could damage your product.

your questions

What cover do you need for your parasol?

At Belveo, every parasol has its own cover. We know it's not always easy to find the right one, which is why we've created a short guide to help you determine exactly which cover is compatible with your parasol. Find our covers here:

What should you use to weigh down the slabs of your parasol?

You can weigh down the slabs of your parasol (i.e., fill them) with water or sand . Note, however, that sand is denser than water , making your slabs heavier – this can be especially important if you plan to move your parasol/slabs regularly. The more weight you add, the more stable the parasol will be in the wind . We therefore recommend using sand for weighting whenever possible. If you have a 3x4m cantilever parasol, it is essential to fill the Ostro slabs with sand to reach a minimum weight of 120kg. You can then add water to achieve the maximum weight. Caution: once wet, the sand cannot be removed from the slabs . If you are in a very windy area, we recommend using our wheeled bases, if possible, as these are heavier once weighted (i.e., filled with water and/or sand) than our slabs.
