All parasols are supplied with a cross base, with the exception of 2 models. The standard parasol is available in two sizes: a 2.75m diameter straight parasol and a 3x2m straight parasol. You will need a cross base if you wish to weigh down your parasol with paving slabs. While weighting is not included with our parasols, it is essential for their stability. We offer several solutions to suit your needs:
- Slabs to be filledOur 50x50cm slabs are designed to be filled with water or sand. Note that sand provides more weight than water for the same volume. For example, for a straight parasol, we recommend a total weight of 80kg (4 slabs of at least 20kg each). For an offset parasol, allow for 100kg of weight (4 slabs of at least 25kg each), or 120kg for a 3x4m model, using sand. Note that wet sand cannot be removed from the slabs. Allow for a weighted area of 1m².
-Feet to be fixedFor straight and cantilever parasols, we offer bases that can be fixed or cemented in place to save ground space. This is the stylish solution for weighting down your parasol while avoiding paving slabs.
-Wheeled feetIf you're looking for a mobile solution, our wheeled bases for straight and cantilever parasols are perfect. Weighted with water and/or sand, they guarantee optimal stability while making it easy to move your parasol.
For safe and long-lasting use, always follow our weighting recommendations, which vary depending on the model and the layout of your space. Our recommendations are listed on the technical specifications of our parasols. Feel free to contact us for personalized advice.
